How much seed will I need?
- Lawns & landscaping - generally between 35-50g per m²
- Over seeding - 35-40g per m²
- Wild Flowers- 5g per m²
To work out how much you need multiply the length of the area by the width and then multiply the answer by the sowing rate and divide by 1000.
For example; A lawn measuring 20m x 50m (seed sowing rate 50g per m²:
(20 x 50 x 50) ÷ 1000 = 50kg
You would require 50kg of seed.
